2007 NSPA/ACP Yearbook Pacemaker Award Winners and Finalists

Books published by Herff Jones again led the way when NSPA announced 28 winners in its Yearbook Pacemaker competition for middle and high school yearbooks published in the 2006-2007 school year at the Saturday awards ceremony during the Spring JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in Anaheim on April 19, 2008.

Exactly half of the eventual winners were printed by Herff Jones. While the next closest competitor printed just six Pacemakers, it took four companies combined to print the other 14 award-winning volumes.

A total of 54 middle school and high school Finalists were honored before the 28 Pacemaker winners were announced. The collegiate Pacemakers will be presented at the 2008 ACP/CMA National College Media Convention in Kansas City on Nov. 1, 2008.

Since 1927, the Pacemaker has been the highest honor in scholastic journalism awarded by NSPA/ACP to its members. The contest is open to all NSPA/ACP members and is entered and judged separately from other NSPA/ACP contests or critiques.
