How do I create an inner glow on my text?

Inner glow in Adobe® Photoshop®

Create a new file
Make sure the file dimensions are the same size as the space the graphic needs to fill on the PageMaker page and the resolution is high enough (minimum 300 dpi) so the type will not have jagged edges. Use the correct mode, Grayscale for black and white pages or CMYK for colors pages. If RGB color is used, change the mode to CMYK before saving at the end.

Type tool
Select the Type tool and click on the screen. In the Type Options palette, choose a font from the pop-up menu and select a point size. Type the text, then click on the check mark at the right end of the palette to commit the changes to the text layer.

Layer Style
Next, go to the Layer menu, select Layer Style, then select the Inner Glow.

An example of a drop shadow along with the dialog box settings that were used to achieve that effect is below. Play with the settings to customize your effect.
